About the Role We are building a new cloud landing zone on Tencent Cloud (Domestic China) within a GxP-regulated environment. As a Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Engineer at Level 2, you will grow into a hands-on cloud practitioner – contributing to infrastructure automation, platform operations, and CI/CD pipelines. This role is well-suited for engineers who have a solid foundation in DevOps or infrastructure engineering and are ready to deepen their cloud expertise, including those who are newer to Tencent Cloud or public cloud platforms. You will be part of a global team responsible for multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure, with a primary focus on the Tencent Cloud platform in China. What You’ll Do • Support the build and maintenance of the Tencent Cloud landing zone infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – contributing to a no-manual-changes culture • Assist in deploying, operating, and troubleshooting TKE clusters (Tencent Kubernetes Engine), including networking, RBAC, scaling, and monitoring • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using GitHub Actions and GitOps workflows • Support automation efforts – provisioning, configuration, testing, compliance checks, and drift detection • Monitor infrastructure health and participate in incident response, supporting high availability • Assist in implementing and maintaining network security controls: firewall rules, security groups, and VPN connectivity • Learn and leverage AI-powered tooling at the infrastructure level to improve automation, monitoring, and alerting • Support Qualification activities in the GxP-regulated environment under guidance of senior engineers • Participate in on-call rotations covering the global multi-cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Architect and senior engineers to implement designs and develop your cloud expertise What You Bring Must Have • 2–4 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a related discipline (Level 2 / Mid-level) • Basic to intermediate understanding of cloud concepts – candidates newer to Tencent Cloud or public cloud are welcome; willingness to learn is key • Foundational knowledge of Kubernetes (e.g. kubectl, pods, deployments, services) – hands-on TKE experience is a plus but not required • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform or similar); willingness to build deeper expertise • Experience with Git and basic CI/CD principles; some exposure to GitHub Actions is beneficial • Interest in automation and eliminating manual operational tasks • Basic understanding of networking concepts: VPCs, subnets, firewalls, and security groups • Willingness to participate in global on-call rotations • Fluent in English (written and spoken) – our team language is English Nice to Have • Hands-on experience with Tencent Cloud services (VPC, CCN, CVM, CLB, COS, Security Groups) • Knowledge of TKE (Tencent Kubernetes Engine) cluster operations • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or Tencent Cloud Monitor) • Experience with an additional cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure • Familiarity with GxP/regulated environments or compliance frameworks (CSV, GAMP5) • Experience with PaloAlto firewalls, Akamai, or Tencent WAF • Cloud or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Tencent Cloud TCA, CKA/CKAD, AWS Cloud Practitioner) • Mandarin language skills (beneficial for local vendor interactions) What We Offer • Hybrid working model (40% remote) • Structured onboarding and mentoring from senior cloud engineers to accelerate your cloud journey • Work in a global, diverse team with colleagues across multiple regions • Opportunity to build a greenfield landing zone from the ground up • Access to cutting-edge AI tooling for infrastructure automation • Career development pathway in a regulated, enterprise-scale cloud environment • Competitive compensation package What we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
