You’ll work alongside professionals who are passionate about: Accounting and financial reporting Business process optimization Risk management and compliance Interns will have the opportunity to work across a variety of teams, including: Financial Reporting Accounting Operations Reinsurance Accounting Financial Reporting Controls Tax Customer & Project Support What You’ll Do as an Intern As a Finance Controllership Intern, you’ll gain exposure to meaningful work that builds your skills. Your responsibilities may include: Leading a self-directed continuous improvement project Reviewing and updating standard operating procedures Assisting with financial reporting and special projects Reconciling balance sheets Preparing statutory accounting schedules and documentation Supporting process automation initiatives Auditing expenses and preparing escheat filings Managing risk and controls, including testing and reporting Assisting with tax return preparation and filing You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, and how finance drives business strategy. At its sole discretion, Nationwide determines whether to offer sponsorship for qualifying positions based on business need and budget. However, it is not usually available for entry level roles. The national hourly pay range for Nationwide Internships is: $23 - $50
