2D Animator for a DTC Brand (US-based/Remote)

We’re looking for a versatile Animator / Graphic Designer to help bring a playful, nostalgic brand to life through illustration, animation, and visual storytelling. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for 80s/90s-inspired animation and illustration , with an appreciation for styles similar to classic animated shows and films such as X-Men and Studio Ghibli. You’ll create daily visual content for ads, social media, and brand storytelling, bringing characters and animated stories to life. Responsibilities Create daily brand visuals, illustrations, and animations Produce creative assets for paid ads and social media Develop visual content that supports the brand's storytelling and identity Bring brand characters, concepts, and stories to life through illustration and animation Create both static and animated content for different platforms and formats Develop creative variations for advertising and social campaigns Maintain a consistent visual style across all creative assets Work independently while taking creative direction and feedback Continuously explore new visual ideas, animation techniques, and creative concepts Experience in graphic design, illustration, animation, or a combination of these Strong portfolio demonstrating both static design and motion/animation Ability to create engaging illustrations and visual storytelling Comfortable creating content for ads and social media Strong understanding of composition, color, typography, and visual storytelling Able to work across both still graphics and animation Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent brand visuals Able to work independently and deliver creative work on a daily basis
