3D Configurator / Three.JS Developer

🚀 We’re Hiring: 3D Configurator (United states timings)

Are you passionate about 3D, real-time rendering, and interactive product experiences? We’re looking for a 3D Configurator to help build browser-based product customizers that allow customers to personalize products, preview them in 3D, and purchase them online.

🔹 What You’ll Do

· Import and configure 3D models within the product configurator.

· Set up scenes, lighting, materials, meshes, and textures.

· Configure product options such as:

o Colours and materials

o Custom text, names, numbers and lettering

o Logos and image uploads

o Sizes and measurements

o Conditional options and rules

o Presets and starting configurations

o Pricing rules and upcharges

· Test configurators across desktop and mobile, focusing on accuracy and performance.

· Connect products with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar.

· Validate production outputs and ensure customization data is correctly passed through.

🔹 What We’re Looking For

· Strong working knowledge of 3D tools such as Three.JS, Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, or equivalent.

· Good understanding of meshes, materials, lighting, texturing, and UV mapping.

· Basic JavaScript knowledge.

· Ability to work with existing 3D models and configure them for interactive experiences.

· Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.

· Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

· Willingness to learn and adapt to a new platform/system.

⭐ Nice to Have

· Experience with Three.js or React Three Fiber.

· Shopify or other e-commerce experience.

· Experience with CMS/admin-based product configuration tools.

· Dynamic textures, decals, canvas-based text or user-uploaded artwork.

· Knowledge of glTF/GLB pipelines, compression and texture optimization.

· Real-time 3D optimization experience, including LOD, baking, draw-call reduction and mobile performance.

💡 Ideal Candidate

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the problem-solving side of 3D as much as the visual side, and who is comfortable owning products from configuration through testing and production.
