🎨 Role Overview

We’re looking for a 3D Character Artist who can take characters from concept to in-engine, game-ready quality.

🖌️ Responsibilities

• Own the full character pipeline: blockout → high-poly sculpt → low-poly/retopo → UVs → bakes → textures → UE5 integration
• Build modular armor/clothing kits, weapons, and variant sets for factions (Elves, Dwarves, Orcs)
• Author PBR materials in Substance; set up master materials/instances in UE5
• Prepare assets for rigging/animation (clean deformation, edge flow, skinning notes)
• Create LODs, collision proxies, and optimize for performance (Nanite/HLOD awareness)
• Collaborate with Concept, Tech Anim, and Gameplay to hit silhouette, readability, and gameplay needs

✅ Requirements

• A strong portfolio of real-time characters (humanoid + creatures)
• Proficiency in ZBrush, Blender/Maya, Substance Painter/Designer, and UE5 import/shaders
• Excellent anatomy, cloth/hard-surface skills, clean topology, and baking discipline (normal/AO/ID)
• Experience preparing assets for rigging, facial work, and animation systems

⭐ Bonus Points

• UE5 Groom/hair cards, cloth sim prep, or blendshape/facial pipelines
• Experience with modular gear systems, MetaHuman customization, or photogrammetry cleanup
• Multiplayer performance awareness (texture memory, streaming, LOD strategy)
