Staff Accountant (Remote / NYC)

Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is eager to learn, take on responsibility, and grow quickly. Why this role stands out:

Fully remote position. If you're in the NYC area, you're welcome to work from our Tribeca office as much as you'd like.

What you'll do:

• Assist with month-end close and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries in accordance with accounting standards.
• Perform bank, accounts payable, and credit card reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable processes, including vendor setup and invoice processing.
• Partner with Finance and Operations teams across the business.
• Contribute to special projects and other accounting initiatives.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0-2 years if experience
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Excellent Excel skills (NetSuite experience is a plus).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn and grow.

Compensation: up to $75,000 salary
