Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Bookkeeper to manage daily invoices for parts and transportation. This role involves ensuring accurate billing, investigating discrepancies in freight carrier invoices, and managing freight claims when necessary. The ideal candidate will be adept at logical problem-solving and root cause analysis.

This position has the potential to grow into a full-time role, assisting with various financial processes, including month-end closing and manual data processing. The ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams is crucial.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Facilitate and process daily parts and transportation invoices.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in freight carrier invoices compared to quotes.

• Dispute incorrect charges on invoices.

• Investigate and file freight claims for damaged or missing shipments.

• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing issues.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures.

• Perform data mining to identify billing errors and discrepancies.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.

• Ability to logically investigate and determine root causes of issues.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in email communication.

• Ability to pull and analyze data.

• Familiarity with logistics and transportation processes.

• Experience with invoice processing and dispute resolution.
