General Accountant - Multi-Entity, Multi-Currency (International Group)
Location / Employment: Remote
Reports to: Financial Controller
Compensation: TBD
About The Company
We are a NASDAQ-listed international group operating across multiple legal entities and currencies, with a parent company, a European subsidiary, and a Middle East (UAE) operation. Our accounting runs on NetSuite, and our work spans several banking and investment platforms across jurisdictions.
About The Role
This role exists to run the day-to-day accounting engine for a multi-entity international group. The Controller owns technical accounting, consolidation, and reporting; this person owns the transactions, reconciliations, and schedules that make all of that possible and audit-ready.
The work is broad by design. In a single month you will move from recording payables and running payments, to reconciling banks and credit cards across entities, to preparing accruals and prepaid schedules, to revaluing foreign-currency accounts. Because the group spans multiple currencies and jurisdictions, precision and a strong audit trail matter more than speed alone.
The person who succeeds here is a full-cycle accountant who is genuinely comfortable holding many entities and currencies at once without letting details slip, and who takes ownership of chasing down what is missing rather than waiting to be told.
Key Responsibilities

- Record vendor bills, invoices, and bank transactions in NetSuite, with supporting backup filed to the system and server for audit
- Prepare weekly payment runs: obtain department-head and approver sign-off, compile the AP list, and confirm vendor banking details
- Set up wires and ACH payments in the banking portal, and maintain complete payment documentation (confirmations, ACH summaries, approvals) for audit
Month-End Close & Reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts to the general ledger across entities
- Record and reconcile credit card transactions, and calculate and record bank, wire, and payment-processing fees
- Prepare and record management fee income accruals using AUM data

Multi-Entity & Intercompany Accounting

- Record interest on cash-equivalent investments (GICs, T-Bills, brokerage holdings)
- Calculate the quarterly director fee cash payment and RSU issuance using period-end pricing
- Revalue foreign-currency accounts across USD, CHF, EUR, GBP, and AED
Year-End & Audit Preparation

- Multi-currency experience, including foreign-currency revaluation

Ideal Candidate Profile
You are meticulous and process-driven, and you take pride in a clean, well-documented set of books that an auditor can follow without questions. You can hold several entities and currencies in your head at once without dropping detail, and you treat "review for anything missing" as a real part of the job, not an afterthought.
You are self-directed in a remote setting, you keep to the close calendar, and you flag issues early. You would rather ask the sharp question now than explain a variance later.
