Accounting Consultant

We're hiring a Senior Accounting Consultant for a leading banking client on a 12-month freelance contract. This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong knowledge of IFRS regulations, treasury and derivatives accounting, and experience working within banking environments.

Location: Remote within Spain

Rate: €25/hour

Contract: 12 Months (Freelance)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the accounting team in meeting project and business requirements
• Define and implement BOX IT accounting processes
• Review accounting results during technical testing and UAT phases
• Produce project and maintenance documentation
• Provide post-production support ("babysitting")
• Act as a subject matter expert for accounting queries relating to derivative products
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting activities under IFRS regulations
• Strong experience in Treasury and Derivatives Accounting, including products such as:
• Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
• Cross Currency Swaps (CCS)
• FRA
• IFN
• C&F
• OTC products

Experience working with accounting systems such as:

• MIC
• Equation
