Accounting Manager The Accounting Manager oversees the organization's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with financial reporting standards. This role will report directly to the Controller and oversee a small accounting team offshore to assist with monthly close and AP duties. The Accounting Manager will be a key partner to Finance leadership in driving consistency, operational efficiency, and sound financial decision-making. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee general accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements. Support budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with Finance leadership. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions. Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties. Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and documentation. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff. Partner cross-functionally with departments such as human resources, operations, and the commercial teams on financial matters. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred. QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Preferred Additional Experience: Implementation of ERP systems (NetSuite a plus). Healthcare industry experience (Life sciences, diagnostics, medical device) Revenue recognition in a lab billing environment. SCHEDULE This is a salaried position, requiring at least 40 hours per week. There may be projects that require activities beyond the standard hours. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary range: $120,000-140,000/annually, determined based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, and abilities.
