Accounts Payable Specialist

Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable processes. Daily tasks include reviewing and processing vendor invoices, validating approvals, coding expenses to the correct accounts, and preparing payment runs. The role involves reconciling vendor statements, resolving discrepancies with suppliers, and monitoring accounts payable aging to ensure timely payments. The specialist will also assist with expense report review, support month-end closing activities, and collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to improve workflows and maintain accurate records. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication with internal stakeholders and vendors, and adherence to company policies and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with experience in accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in managing Expense Reports and related reimbursement workflows.
• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries (Accounting) to support month-end close.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills for reviewing data, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues.
• Experience with accounting or ERP software, and solid Excel skills. Netsuite required.
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and time management in a remote environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
