We're looking for PH-based candidates only** Job Role: AU Accountant Engagement type: Employee of Record (EOR) or Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. If hired through EOR, the client will determine the working hours. Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies directly hire top 5% remote talent in the Philippines. You will be hired directly by the client, typically as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home. About the Role: We are looking for experienced Senior Accountants who are comfortable handling end-to-end accounting functions for Australian clients. The ideal candidate must have experience supporting Australian clients, strong proficiency in accounting systems and software, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote setup. Roles matched from this pool typically involve financial reporting, tax compliance, bookkeeping oversight, and client communication, across a range of Australian SME clients in advisory and accounting firms. What We're Looking For Solid experience in Australian accounting and tax compliance (BAS, GST, IAS, FBT, income tax) Proficiency in at least one of: Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently Excellent written and verbal English communication CPA/CA qualification is a plus but not required Experience working with an Australian accounting or advisory firm Nice to Have Exposure to BGL software CPA/CA certified or currently working towards it
