What You’ll Do You'll be a vital member of a collaborative client team, supporting various projects and delivering actuarial insights that drive real-world outcomes. You’ll gain hands-on experience, sharpen your business acumen, and grow under the mentorship of senior analysts and actuaries. Your key responsibilities: • Analyze healthcare data, financial statements, and other work products to inform recommendations • Build and maintain Excel models and actuarial tools • Contribute to client reports and strategic planning • Ask thoughtful questions and help shape solutions for complex healthcare challenges • Join Athena community and strategy meetings to help strengthen our culture and mission What We’re Looking For Must-Haves: 0–2 years of actuarial experience through school, internships, or early career Progress toward ASA or FSA designation Strong problem-solving instincts and a passion for learning Commitment to Athena’s mission and values Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Nice-to-Haves: Experience with Medicaid, healthcare, or other public health programs Familiarity with programming tools like SAS, SQL, or MacroVB Why Athena?
