The Administrative Analyst III (C) is responsible for providing administrative support to the Office of the Human Resources Group Manager and the Human Resources Services Section. The position handles highly confidential information related to District management decisions, organizational matters, and employer-employee relations. Work requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; attention to detail; sound judgment; and the ability to support projects, programs, and initiatives that advance effective human resources services. What You’ll Do Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Group Manager and HR Services team by preparing correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting materials, and maintaining records. Support leadership and board activities by preparing agendas, reports, presentations, meeting materials, and tracking follow-up actions. Maintain HR information systems and collaboration platforms, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive; update HR policies, procedures, and related documents Support and maintain employee programs and initiatives, including recognition programs, HR communications and activities that promote employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Coordinate HR projects and initiatives by setting priorities, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion. Conduct research and analysis on organizational challenges, personnel services, HR programs, policies, and special projects; present findings and recommendations to leadership to support operational improvements. Prepare reports, analyze data using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), and develop presentations. Coordinate updates to policies, procedures, and documentation by tracking revisions and supporting implementation. Collaborate with managers, employees, and stakeholders while applying HR policies, maintaining confidentiality, and managing multiple priorities. This classification performs work that requires maintaining confidentiality and is routinely privy to matters that either involves confidential information, sensitive personnel issues, or exposure to confidential and sensitive strategic corporate information. To view the full job description, click here: administrative ANALYST III (C) Schedule: 9/80 Monday through Friday/Every other Friday off. Start times are no earlier than 6 am and end times are no later than 6 pm. Hybrid: Metropolitan’s current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule. Travel: This position will require travel to various District facilities throughout the service area, sometimes requiring overnight stay in the project area. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field AND four years relevant experience; OR two years as a MWD Analyst II level in the related field. Relevant Experience is defined as: Progressively responsible experience supporting a department or organizational function with any combination of project coordination or process improvement. Desirable Qualifications: Supports a Human Resources function(s) in a public agency. Experience with process improvement initiatives, SharePoint site management, board support, employee engagement programs, and developing or updating policies, procedures, and workflows.
