We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Legal Administrator to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will predominantly support the Group Legal Team by managing administrative tasks, conducting research and assisting in various activities within the Group Legal Team. Please note: This position is an administrative support role within the Legal team and is not a route into a Paralegal, Trainee Solicitor or Solicitor position . There is no planned progression into a legal practitioner career path. We are therefore seeking candidates who genuinely enjoy administration, organisation, coordination and supporting a busy team, rather than individuals looking to qualify or advance within the legal profession. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism. The role would ideally suit an individual who is proactive and can pre-empt the Group Head of Legal’s needs and facilitate efficiencies. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Legal Team, including diary management, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, co-ordinating communications including direct response to correspondence. Manage legal administrative tools, assist with the management and updating of the Group Legal Intranet Site. Assist in the preparation of legal training materials, presentations, compilation of detailed reports (including management information) and associated documentation for the Group Head of Legal. Assisting with invoicing and associated activities for the Group Legal Team. Maintenance of case logs and files for legal matters including litigation. Assisting with drafting Board Minutes Assisting with joiners and leavers processes. The individual may also be required to carry out other duties from time to time. Critical Skills and Experience required Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written, adaptable style and skill full in liaising with internal and external parties. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Organised, effective filing skills, legal documentation management, time management, self-motivated, has initiative and ability to troubleshoot. Strong computer literacy and IT skills with high level of proficiency with MS Office, notably Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Adaptable and collaborative with legal team members and other internal senior stakeholders and individuals within the Group. Able to work under pressure and excellent time management skills. Ability to work to deadlines and can prioritise complex and competing demands and remain calm under pressure. Unquestionable commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Qualifications (Essential & Desirable) Previous experience in working in an office environment. Key Interfaces (Internal and External) The Legal Team. Vendor Team. About you Applications from candidates seeking a Paralegal, Training Contract or Solicitor career path are unlikely to be suitable for this position. We are specifically looking for someone who enjoys and wishes to develop within a Legal Assistant and administrative support role. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Group Legal Team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support, assist with research activities, manage documentation and help facilitate the smooth running of the legal function. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys organisation, administration and working with detail, rather than an individual seeking a route into a Paralegal or qualified legal career. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support, has excellent attention to detail, and enjoys building efficient processes and keeping things organised. The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The successful candidate will be proactive, able to anticipate the needs of the Group Head of Legal, and focused on identifying ways to improve administrative efficiency across the team. While previous experience in a legal environment would be beneficial, we are equally interested in candidates with strong administrative experience who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail, discretion, and a proactive approach to supporting a busy team.
