This position has an end date of September 30, 2027. Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton. Reporting to the Manager(s), Admissions, the Admissions Evaluator 1 is an integral member of the undergraduate admissions team and participates in all aspects of providing undergraduate admission advice, service, preparing electronic files for evaluation, and evaluating High School applications involving specific curricula and making admission decisions. This requires the interpretation and implementation of admission policies and procedures. The Admissions Evaluator 1 organizes and manages information and documentation to complete evaluations that fall in scope of the position. This includes assessing the file for completeness and requests further documentation and/or transcripts as needed. In addition, this position maintains and updates applicant information where appropriate including English Language Proficiency and Spoken English Proficiency. This position is responsible for running a variety of quality assurance queries that support both the Admissions Evaluator 1 & Admissions Evaluator 2 curriculum applications. In addition, the Admissions Evaluator 1 is responsible for troubleshooting issues that arise within the scope of their work, in order to process applications in a timely manner. The Admissions Evaluator 1 is responsible for undergraduate application acknowledgement and full processing of High School applications of specific curricula. This includes all domestic curricula (with the exception of CEGEP) and specific international curricula evaluations. The position supports student inquiries received via phone, live chat and email escalated from the Student Service Centre. The Admissions Evaluator 1 is accountable for problem solving, discretionary decision making to resolve the majority of student inquiries and/or to determine what type of escalation is needed where necessary. These inquiries may concern a broad range of issues regarding policies, procedures, or programs, requiring admissions and registration knowledge and understanding, and accurate interpretation and explanation to prospective students, applicants, parents, etc. Admissions Evaluator 1 need to be aware about what services are offered by other offices across campus so that they are able to advise appropriately on expected processes and also make effective referrals. They work in a fast paced and dynamic customer oriented environment and take appropriate action in common circumstances.
