As an Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist here at Honeywell, you will engage in cutting-edge research and development activities that push the boundaries of technology and innovation. You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis or Plymouth, MN site locations on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs for exciting new technologies in the field of Alternative Position, Navigation, and Timing Systems. You will use your expert knowledge of navigation systems, engineering discipline and standards, as well as processes and tools to complete and ensure compliance of various projects. You are the point of contact for external customers, and you may participate in development of new business opportunities and product lines. Research & Development experience with Navigation Systems WE VALUE Master’s Degree or PhD in Engineering Knowledge of Inertial, GPS, or Alternative PNT sensors Navigation algorithm development Understanding of industry standards and security practices Highly skilled in C/C++, MATLAB, ROS Experience with OpenCV, Ubuntu, Python, GDAL, CUDA Ability to work independently An open, honest and team-oriented personality Ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor others Significant experience in engineering field Experience with new product and technology development in a highly regulated environment Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems Track record of successful contribution to products & projects Experience with technical journal publications and research proposals The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $144,200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
