As our Advisor Environment, you’ll be at the forefront of environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance for projects—helping ensure they’re planned and built responsibly from the ground up. In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with internal teams, regulatory agencies, and external experts. You will help drive smart environmental decisions, reduce risk, and improve sustainability during all project phases. If this sounds like your next opportunity, apply now! What You Will Do: Oversee environmental reviews, surveys and permitting for maintenance and capital projects. Establish systems for regulatory compliance, develop or recommend procedures, provide mentorship and relevant written resources or support materials. Provide direct support, advice and assistance to Engineering, Construction Services, Business Development, Engineering, Law and others for all phases of the development and execution related to a range of projects and/or programs. Develop and coordinate Company environmental awareness, training, and outreach efforts, materials and resources as necessary to support project planning and implementation. Participate in agency outreach, public meetings and open houses as required to support projects. Develop post project monitoring and follow-up approaches, plans and procedures to support successful completion of major projects and smooth transition to operations. This role’s geographic responsibility potentially spans all U.S. locations with initiatives in progress or development. It also acts as the contact for certain specific issues or expertise areas. Who You Are: Bachelor’s degree in environmental, physical or biological sciences, engineering, or related Environmental, Health and Safety and Emergency Response field. Minimum 4 years’ experience in relevant environmental applications. Ability to comprehend diverse regulatory, scientific and technical issues. Ability to connect with a wide variety of people, including employees, all levels of management, regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, and those we serve. Ability to coordinate and write clear documents and correspondence to various audiences. Must be able to work independently and to coordinate and prioritize activities involving environmental consulting professionals or service providers, including environmental waste specialists or providers. Working Conditions: 75% office environment and up to 25% travel to project sites or other company offices. Work or interact with a broad range of Company office and field staff, supervisors and managers, agency personnel, landowners and the public. Frequently changing priorities and job requirements. Critical deadlines affecting schedule, budget and overall success of various projects and programs. Flexibility required for occasionally working outside typical business hours/extra hours when needed to maintain schedules and address collaborator needs. Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone. Salary: Ranges from $80,500 – $110,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity. Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
