Your role in our mission Lead the development and modernization of healthcare claims solutions at Gainwell. We’re looking for a hands-on software development lead who can mentor engineers, drive technical delivery, and partner across teams to build reliable, high-quality systems. Lead and mentor software engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Own technical delivery across the software development lifecycle, from design through release and support. Guide architecture, development, and modernization of C/Unix-based healthcare claims applications. Partner with product, business, and operations teams to align solutions with client needs. Drive engineering excellence through code quality, testing, release readiness, and continuous improvement. What we're looking for 9+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership Strong background in C, Unix/Linux, SQL, and system integration Experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise applications Healthcare claims experience required; Gainwell Interchange preferred Knowledge of SDLC, release management, and modern engineering practices Experience with multiple claims bundling/editing software platforms is desired Preferred strengths Excellent communication and stakeholder management Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus What you should expect in this role Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%) Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation #LI-SH1 #LI-REMOTE The deadline to submit applications for this posting is August 31, 2026 The pay range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
