The Role As the Advisor, Early Childhood Care and Development , you’ll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You will be supporting our early childhood programs and strategies to accelerate learning outcomes for children across rural America. The ideal person for this position will have extensive content expertise in Save the Children’s early childhood programs, experience working in rural communities, and deep knowledge of effective practices for advancing developmentally appropriate practice and school readiness outcomes for children. NOTE – This role is being hired on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. Location Hybrid – Washington DC, Fairfield, CT or Lexington, KY office locations What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties) *not inclusive of all role responsibilities. May be subject to change Build Capacity to Implement Programs (70%) Plan, conduct, and record monthly support meetings with state directors, lead associates, and advisors. Provide technical assistance to support program implementation and to identify and resolve implementation challenges. Contribute to developing and delivering training, technical assistance, and other resources for program implementation staff. Participate in onboarding processes for Kindergarten Readiness program Lead Associates and other staff supporting US ECCD programming; support recruitment and onboarding on an ongoing basis. Refine Program Models (25%) Collaborate across teams following the organization’s processes to ensure programs and resources are culturally relevant, backed by research and best practice, and aligned to community needs and insights Establish standards for high quality implementation and collaborate with other teams to determine options for customization Collaborate with other teams to utilize lessons learned to inform program design, refinements, and to enhance results Collect and Analyze Data (5%) Monitor quality of program implementation, ensure programs are on track to meet key metrics, program indicators, reach expectations, and other grant deliverables. Required qualifications for the role Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally Proven experience in project management and facilitation strategies for complex, multi-partner community initiatives. Demonstrated experience with coaching and supporting adults in an education or related area Professional proficiency in Canva, Learning Management System (LMS), and SharePoint Professional proficiency in MS Office suite Professional proficiency in spoken and written English Able and willing to travel domestically up to 15% of the time. This position may require the incumbent to operate a motor vehicle to fulfill certain essential functions of the job. The incumbent should maintain a valid driver’s license and remain in compliance with any Save the Children policies pertaining to the safe operation of motor vehicles. Preferred qualifications for the role Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Experience with curriculum development for expectant families, and children birth to five years old. Compensation Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location: Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $91,800 - $102,600 base salary Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $83,725 - $93,575 base salary Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $74,800 - $83,600 base salary The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here ).
