AEM Architect

Description We are seeking an experienced AEM Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale digital experience solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, establish architecture standards, and guide development teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing web platforms. The AEM Architect will partner with business stakeholders, product owners, UX teams, and engineering teams to define solution architectures and ensure alignment with enterprise technology strategies. Key Responsibilities Define end-to-end architecture for Adobe Experience Manager solutions. Lead technical design sessions and architecture reviews. Develop architecture roadmaps aligned with digital transformation initiatives. Design scalable and secure AEM Cloud Service and AEM 6.5 solutions. Establish development standards, coding best practices, and governance frameworks. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams. Architect integrations with Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Salesforce, ServiceNow, APIs, and third-party systems. Ensure solution performance, scalability, security, and maintainability. Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and cloud infrastructure. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues. Review technical deliverables and oversee quality assurance efforts. Required Qualifications 8+ years of software development experience. 5+ years of Adobe Experience Manager architecture experience. Expertise with AEM Sites, Assets, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and Headless CMS capabilities. Strong knowledge of Sling, OSGi, JCR, Oak Repository, and Apache Dispatcher. Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service. Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and microservices. Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Strong understanding of CI/CD tools including Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Experience designing enterprise integrations and API architectures. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $90.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
