Is this job info correct?

About CorpsAfrica CorpsAfrica was founded in 2011 by former Peace Corps Volunteer Liz Fanning after young Africans asked how they could become Peace Corps Volunteers to serve their own country. She had to tell them that the program was open only to Americans, so she created CorpsAfrica, an NGO that recruits and trains young Africans to live and serve in rural communities, listening to the people and facilitating community-led development projects. Since launching its first Volunteer cohort in Morocco in 2013, CorpsAfrica has expanded to 11 African countries. More than 1,700 Volunteers have completed service, partnering with communities to implement small-scale high-impact projects that are identified by local people, improving the lives of nearly one million people across the continent. In this high-impact executive role within our Global Support Office (GSO), this person will mentor country teams, optimize donor pipelines, and spearhead high-value revenue generation to accelerate our reach. Position Overview The African Philanthropy Director is a senior, capacity-building leadership role within the Global Support Office (GSO) dedicated exclusively to strategic revenue generation, donor acquisition, pipeline expansion, and local fundraising capacity building across all country offices. Unlike general partnership or program management, this position focuses strictly on unlocking revenue potential across African individual, major gift, and institutional channels. The Director serves as the strategic leader and primary executive coach for country office Philanthropy Officers (POs) continent-wide, empowering local teams with the tools, skills, mentorship, and frameworks required to secure transformational major gifts, institutional grants, and local philanthropic contributions. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Coaching and Institutional Capacity Building Executive Mentorship: Serve as the primary GSO strategic coach and advisor to Country Directors, country office Boards of Directors and Local Councils, and POs, driving dedicated strategies for local revenue generation. Training and Curriculum Design: Create and deliver high-impact, localized fundraising training modules covering major donor cultivation, pitch development, grant writing, local philanthropy, and high-value solicitations. 1-on-1 Performance Coaching: Host regular strategic coaching sessions with local teams to audit fundraising pipelines, troubleshoot pitch frameworks, and optimize local revenue plans. Standardized Toolkits: Develop global standard-setting fundraising toolkits, customized proposal templates, compelling donor pitch decks, and grant application guidelines tailored for country office execution. 2. Donor Cultivation and Global Pipeline Leadership Stewardship Frameworks: Design and execute high-touch donor stewardship frameworks to ensure long-term engagement and retention of high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and institutional funders. Prospect Research and Prospecting: Support and guide country offices in identifying, researching, and prospecting high-potential major donors and philanthropic entities across the African continent and globally. Grant Calendar and Proposal Writing: Oversee the organizational grant calendar, leading the development, writing, and editing of high-value proposals, concept notes, and major institutional grant applications. 3. Revenue Analytics, CRM Governance and Reporting Performance Dashboards: Build and maintain network-wide fundraising dashboards to evaluate key performance indicators, including donor retention, average gift size, conversion rates, and multi-year revenue projections. CRM Data Integrity: Oversee CRM management (e.g., Salesforce) across all country offices to ensure strict donor pipeline accuracy, grant schedule compliance, and financial gift processing integrity. Executive and Board Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial fundraising analytics, revenue forecasts, and strategic reports for the CEO and Board of Directors. Qualifications and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, International Development, Executive Leadership, or a related field (Master's degree preferred, or equivalent executive experience). Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in non-profit fundraising, major donor cultivation, institutional grant securing, or philanthropic strategy (with a proven track record across African markets). Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in securing major gifts, institutional grants, and multi-year funding commitments. Coaching and Mentorship: Substantial experience training, coaching, and empowering cross-cultural teams across diverse international contexts. Technical and CRM Systems: High proficiency with enterprise CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline tracking, donor analytics, and reporting. Financial Literacy: Strong financial acumen with proven expertise in budget management, revenue forecasting, and goal tracking. Communication: Superior written, oral, and pitch presentation skills with demonstrated success editing major concept notes and proposals. Passion: A commitment to youth leadership and community-led development. To Apply: Interested applicants should submit a cover letter that illustrates qualifications relevant to this role and a résumé through JazzHR. Only complete applications will be considered. Deadline to apply is Aug 21, 2026 .
