Aged Care Consultant – Compliance and Registration

Part-time / Contract | Remote within Australia

ISO Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Aged Care Consultant to take over an established portfolio of aged care consulting and content-development responsibilities.

This role is suited to an experienced professional with a strong home and community care background, rather than to one with experience limited to residential aged care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed compliance and readiness gap assessments using ISO+™.
• Review aged care provider registration applications, category-specific forms, business plans, financial information and supporting documents.
• Review and respond to feedback issued by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
• Provide practical advice to clients regarding registration, regulatory compliance, Support at Home and CHSP transition.
• Draft, review and update aged care policies, procedures, forms, guidance documents and compliance tools.
• Respond to technical and regulatory enquiries from clients and the sales consultants.
• Monitor legislative, regulatory and Commission updates and identify required changes.
• Update aged care content, registration roadmaps, guidance documents, policies and operational boards within ISO+™, as well as corresponding offline packages.
• Assist with developing and maintaining new service packages, including Support at Home readiness and DVA-related compliance content.
• Review ISO+™ aged care modules and report content, usability or system issues requiring improvement.

Essential experience

• Practical experience in Australian home care, community care, Home Care Packages, Support at Home or CHSP.
• Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Act, strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and current aged care reforms.
• Experience conducting compliance reviews, gap assessments or quality audits.
• Experience writing and reviewing aged care policies and procedures.
• Strong analytical, report-writing and client communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects and deadlines.
• Confidence using cloud-based software and learning the ISO+™ platform.

Highly desirable

• Clinical qualification, particularly in nursing or allied health.
• Experience with aged care provider registration applications.
• Lead auditor, internal auditor or quality management qualifications.
• Experience with clinical governance.
• Ability to review financial projections, budgets and operational viability.
• Experience developing compliance packages, guidance material or training content.

About the engagement

This is initially a flexible part-time or contract role, performed remotely within Australia. The workload may increase based on client demand, capability and availability.
