Position Description Monument is seeking right-of-way Agents in California to support pipeline, electric transmission, water/wastewater, and renewable project efforts. Agents will be responsible for performing limited aspects of right-of-way and real estate-related activities, assisting in negotiating favorable terms to various land and right-of-way-related agreements, permits, and other documents necessary for the construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities secured on behalf of the company’s client. This position is remote from your preferred location, but Agents are required to frequently travel to various site locations in California. Estimated Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 DOE Key Responsibilities Identifies land ownership from public records. Under general supervision, research, review, and analyze land titles of lesser complexity. Seeks to identify defects. Under general supervision, negotiates the acquisition of right-of-way, easements, and other property interests of lesser complexity, on behalf of the company’s client. Under general supervision, reviews, prepares, analyzes, and interprets all Land and Right-of-Way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses. Maintains up-to-date records of contact attempts and parcel-related data in the company database. Responsible for negotiating, administering, managing, and protecting clients’ real property rights, including third-party uses on the client’s owned land and property activities on the client’s easements. Ensure compliance with the client’s land policies and jurisdictional requirements in connection with licensing, consents, grant-outs, encroachments, and major transmission line relocations. Review and analyze property rights, resolve land issues with customers, and address billing/invoicing with internal and external clients. Prepare various real estate agreements, including permits, consents, licenses, cost estimates, liability matrices, and quitclaims. Perform site inspections and evaluations. Travel to various site locations frequently using a personal vehicle. Qualifications: Possess sound business acumen and exceptional client skills. Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external teams. Possess flexibility, tact, and excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication. Must be organized, motivated, self-reliant, and work with minimal direction. Works effectively with internal leaders as well as external clients. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiar with GIS and Google Earth. Multi-lingual is a plus. Education and Experience: Minimum of one to three 1-3 years of experience in right-of-way related activities. California Real Estate License.
