JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an AI Automation Specialist to design, implement, and optimise AI-powered systems and business automations that improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and support scalable growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AI tools, workflow automation, integrations, and business processes, with the ability to turn operational requirements into practical, reliable solutions. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, build and maintain workflows, integrate various platforms, and continuously improve the way AI and automation are used across the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify repetitive, time-consuming, and manual business processes that can be improved through AI and automation. Design, build, test, and maintain automated workflows across business functions. Develop AI-powered solutions using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI platforms. Build and manage integrations between business applications using platforms such as Make, Zapier, n8n, or similar automation tools. Connect and automate workflows across CRM, project management, communication, marketing, finance, and other business systems. Use APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations to connect different platforms and automate data flows. Develop AI prompts, agents, and workflows to improve productivity, content creation, customer communication, data processing, and internal operations. Review existing workflows and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Troubleshoot automation issues, monitor workflows, and ensure systems operate reliably. Document automation processes, workflows, integrations, and standard operating procedures. Work with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions. Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies, automation platforms, and best practices. Support the implementation and adoption of AI tools across the business through training and guidance. Maintain appropriate data security, privacy, access controls, and quality standards when implementing AI and automation solutions. Requirements 2+ years' experience in AI automation, workflow automation, business process improvement, digital operations, systems implementation or a similar role. Strong practical knowledge of AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or comparable platforms. Experience with automation platforms such as Make, Zapier, n8n, Power Automate, or similar. Understanding of APIs, webhooks, JSON, and system integrations. Experience integrating SaaS platforms, CRMs, project management tools, communication platforms, and other business applications. Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to identify opportunities for automation. Experience creating effective AI prompts and AI-powered workflows. Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or other scripting languages is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to troubleshooting. Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into practical automation solutions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to building reliable, scalable workflows. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple automation projects, and meet deadlines. A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in emerging AI technologies and continuous improvement. Experience with CRM, marketing automation, reporting, or business intelligence tools is an advantage. Experience working with Australian businesses or professional services environments is desirable.
