AI / Data Solution Architect

We're looking for an experienced AI / Data Solution Architect who can bridge business and technology, helping clients design practical, scalable AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into their existing data and technology environments. About the Role As an AI / Data Solution Architect, you will work alongside clients to understand their business objectives, technology landscape and data environment, translating AI opportunities into practical solution architectures that are secure, scalable and aligned with enterprise objectives. Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, AI specialists and governance consultants, you'll help design architecture that enables AI solutions while ensuring appropriate consideration of data, privacy, security, integration and governance requirements. This is a client-facing consulting role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery and can communicate complex technical concepts in clear business language. What You'll Do Engage with client stakeholders to understand business processes, technology environments and data landscapes. Translate business requirements into practical AI and data solution architectures. Assess data sources, integration pathways and platform capabilities required to support AI-enabled business processes. Design high-level solution architectures that align business needs with enterprise technology strategies. Provide guidance on data flows, APIs, system interfaces, platform dependencies and integration approaches. Collaborate with AI specialists to ensure proposed AI solutions are technically feasible and aligned with modern delivery practices. Work closely with governance and security teams to incorporate privacy, security, risk and compliance considerations into solution designs. Identify technical risks, assumptions, dependencies and delivery constraints early in the engagement lifecycle. Facilitate architecture discussions, workshops and stakeholder sessions with both technical and business audiences. Produce architecture artefacts including solution diagrams, integration views, data flow documentation and implementation considerations. Support the transition from discovery into delivery by providing clear architectural guidance to implementation teams. Contribute to proposal development, solution design and thought leadership across Intelligen's AI and Data practice 8+ years' experience in solution architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, AI architecture, cloud architecture or related technical consulting roles. 3+ years' experience delivering AI, machine learning, analytics, automation or modern data platform initiatives. Demonstrated experience designing solutions that connect business processes with enterprise data platforms, applications and integration layers. Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, APIs, integration patterns, data movement and platform dependencies. Experience working with modern cloud and data platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform or equivalent technologies. Experience assessing technical feasibility, architecture risks, implementation dependencies and delivery considerations for emerging technology initiatives. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, solution design and cloud-native architectures. Experience working across business, technology, data, security, privacy and governance stakeholders. Excellent consulting and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Ability to develop pragmatic architecture artefacts that support decision-making and delivery. Experience working within consulting, advisory, transformation or enterprise technology delivery environments. Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience would be highly regarded. Previous client-facing consulting experience is highly desirable.
