They’re looking for an AI Engineer to design and develop the AI systems behind real-world applications, building agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, and orchestration layers that integrate into business-critical environments. Salary: €45k-50k/year (junior /mid-level)

€55k-70k/year (senior)

Location: 100% Remote - Portugal

What You’ll Do

• Design and build production-grade AI systems that automate workflows and support business decision-making
• Develop multi-step AI agents, tool-using LLM systems, and orchestration workflows
• Build retrieval pipelines and integrate AI solutions with structured and unstructured data sources
• Package AI capabilities into scalable services that can be safely consumed by other applications and engineering teams
• Design and implement evaluation frameworks, observability, and feedback loops to continuously improve AI system performance
• Collaborate closely with engineers, strategists, designers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in client discussions, helping translate business challenges into AI-powered technical solutions
• Own the full lifecycle of AI systems, from concept and implementation to deployment and production monitoring

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping AI-powered systems in production
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical or scientific field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong Python development skills
• Solid experience with modern LLM engineering, including agents, MCP, skills, tool use, retrieval, structured outputs, and evaluation frameworks
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and code quality best practices
• Experience balancing accuracy, latency, cost, and maintainability in production AI systems
• Experience building AI services that can be reliably consumed by other engineering teams
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Professional proficiency in English

• Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
• Strong understanding of AI observability, monitoring, and production debugging
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable AI architectures
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and continuous learning
• Ability to adapt quickly to new models, tools, and AI engineering best practices
