AI Tools Associate

JHC Consulting is seeking an AI Tools Associate to support a mandate for a Brussels-based international logistics firm. This entry-level position is designed for an individual who is comfortable at the intersection of technical analysis and formal writing. In this role, you will assist our principals in evaluating how automated systems and machine learning models influence the governance and operational strategy of a global supply chain. This is a fully remote role, operating within a firm that values the discipline of the written word over the ceremonies of traditional consulting.

The Role
As an AI Tools Associate, your work focuses on the technical scrutiny of the tools and systems our clients use to make decisions. You will spend much of your time reading, researching, and drafting internal notes that contribute to our final memoranda. The daily work involves:

• Reviewing the technical documentation of AI and automation tools deployed by the logistics firm to identify potential logic gaps or hidden assumptions.
• Researching emerging AI methodologies that could affect the client's long-term strategic position.
• Drafting concise technical summaries that will be integrated into formal signed memoranda for board-level review.
• Conducting audits of model outputs to ensure they align with the firm's stated governance goals.
• Maintaining a high standard of accuracy in all technical citations and references.
• Participating in internal review sessions where we challenge each other's arguments to ensure our counsel is rigorous and defensible.
• Assisting principals in translating complex algorithmic processes into plain English for non-technical executives.

What You Bring
We are looking for a candidate who treats writing as a form of thinking. While this is an entry-level role, it requires a high degree of intellectual maturity and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. You should have:

• A foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science, likely gained through a recent degree or personal technical projects.
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured prose without relying on jargon or filler.
• A sharp analytical mind capable of tracing a technical claim back to its starting assumption.
• The patience to read dense technical reports and corporate documentation thoroughly.
