The AI Workflow Coordinator manages the automated data sequences and documentation needed to support our financial advisory work. This position is currently focused on an engagement for a Rome-based infrastructure firm where we are investigating the economic validity of large-scale maintenance plans.
About Blue Oak Consulting Blue Oak Consulting provides independent advisory on pricing, portfolio economics, capital allocation, and acquisition assumptions. We are not a traditional consulting firm focused on broad transformation programs or high level strategy decks. Instead, we interrogate specific commercial decisions where the financial stakes are high and the existing narrative is not sufficient. Our team looks past corporate language and P&L complexity to identify where value is leaking or capital is trapped. We work across sectors like software, manufacturing, and healthcare to test whether the assumptions behind a growth plan or an acquisition actually hold under pressure. We are a small, principal led firm where the people who do the work are the ones accountable for the results. We do not take transaction contingent fees, which allows us to be completely honest about whether the economics of a decision make sense. Our goal is to provide clarity through financial discipline and a healthy amount of skepticism.
The Role As a junior member of the team, you will manage the technical steps needed to process large volumes of financial and operational data through our internal systems. You will work in a fully remote capacity, coordinating between the senior consultants who design our financial models and the tools used to automate data extraction. The focus in this role is on precision rather than speed: you will be checking for discrepancies in data summaries and making sure the logic used by our automated sequences matches the rigorous standards of our human analysts. This is an environment that favors clear documentation and a disciplined approach to checking facts.
What You Will Be Doing
Setting up and monitoring automated workflows that extract key financial data points from project reports and balance sheets.
Reviewing technical summaries of infrastructure project contracts to ensure every detail matches the source material.
Cleaning and preparing data sets for our lead analysts to use in capital allocation and pricing models.
Testing the logic of our internal data tools to identify points of friction where automated flows provide inconsistent results.
Collaborating with the team to refine the inputs used in our analysis of the Rome-based infrastructure project.
Maintaining detailed logs of data collection methods to ensure all findings are repeatable and defensible during client reviews.
Supporting the evaluation of economic assumptions by identifying outliers in large pools of operational data.
What You Bring
A university degree in finance, economics, data science, or a related field with a strong focus on quantitative analysis.
A high level of comfort with Excel and a curiosity about how different software tools can be connected to improve data accuracy.
A skeptical mindset that naturally questions why a number looks out of place or inconsistent.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot small errors within heavy technical documentation.
An interest in how infrastructure and real world assets are financed, managed, and maintained over long cycles.
Strong written communication skills to explain technical issues or data anomalies to the consulting team.
The ability to work independently in a fully remote setting and manage your own tasks effectively without constant supervision.
What We Offer
Full-time, permanent employment with a competitive and attractive salary for the current market.
The flexibility to work from any location in a fully remote environment.
Direct access to senior partners who provide mentorship on financial modeling and independent advisory work.
Exposure to high stakes commercial decisions and complex asset classes within an international context.
Ongoing training on the practical application of data tools in a professional financial setting.
A work environment that values logical reasoning and intellectual honesty over corporate politics.
We believe that the best financial advice comes from looking at the facts without any preconceived notions. By joining us as an AI Workflow Coordinator, you are helping us build a more predictable and accurate way to audit the business cases of global entities. The work is challenging because it requires both technical precision and a deep understanding of corporate finance, but it provides a foundation for a career in modern financial advisory. We stay through the execution phase of our projects because decisions that look sound in theory often meet real world friction, and your work ensures our data is ready for those challenges.
