The Opportunity
We're growing our mobile engineering bench to support an expanding portfolio of AI-native client projects. Your first engagement will be Kiiva — a women's health app that combines cycle tracking, biometrics, and supplement management into a single AI reasoning engine. It's a greenfield build on a clean, modern stack with a detailed technical spec ready to go.
This is a long-term staff role at Anablock, not a one-project contract. Once Kiiva ships, you'll move onto the next product in our pipeline.
What You'll Build
Multi-step onboarding and auth flows (Clerk + Expo)
Cycle tracking with phase logic, fertile window prediction, and calendar UI
Supplement stack management with barcode scanning via expo-camera (multi-source API fan-out)
Wearable device integration — Oura Ring OAuth2 via Expo AuthSession
AI-powered insight cards — streaming GPT-4o responses via Vercel AI SDK
Body tracking with 7-category symptom logging and biometrics display
Profile, settings, CCPA/GDPR data export and deletion flows
Fastify API routes (TypeScript) — you'll touch backend when needed

AI: Vercel AI SDK + Anthropic Claude / OpenAI GPT-4o
DB: PostgreSQL + Prisma ORM

AI Dev Tools: Claude Code (we use it daily)
You Are
3+ years of React Native in production — shipped apps with real users, not just side projects
Comfortable with Expo managed workflow, EAS Build, and EAS Submit
Strong TypeScript — strict mode, shared types, no shortcuts
Have shipped at least one app to the iOS App Store — you understand App Store Connect, privacy labels, and Apple's review process
Familiar with Expo Router v3 (file-based routing) or pick it up fast
Can read and write a Fastify route — you're not backend-phobic
Self-directed — you take a spec, ask the right questions upfront, and ship without daily oversight
Comfortable working with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as part of your daily workflow
Bonus Points
NativeWind / Tailwind-in-RN experience
Wearable or health data integrations (Oura, Apple HealthKit)
Built a barcode scanner in Expo
Experience with Clerk auth
Familiarity with HIPAA / CCPA compliance in health apps
Any exposure to Anthropic APIs or Claude integrations
