The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport is a bold and exciting project to develop a best-in-class international terminal that will serve as an anchor terminal in the Port Authority's $19 billion transformation of JFK into a global gateway to the New York metropolitan area and the United States. The New Terminal One will set a new standard for design and service, aspiring to obtain a top 5-star Skytrax rating. Who we are looking for : We are seeking an individual with a strong interest in aviation, air service development, airline strategy, airport economics, and business development. This individual will play a key role in supporting the Revenue team by assisting with initiatives to attract new international airlines, strengthen existing airline partnerships, and support The New Terminal One's long-term growth strategy. They will support market research and analysis, identify airline business opportunities, coordinate airline engagement activities, and assist with business development initiatives and stakeholder communications. The Air Service Development Associate will help foster productive relationships with airline partners, airport stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams while supporting efforts that drive air service growth and enhance the terminal's global connectivity. What you’ll be doing: Air Service Development & Airline Engagement You will support initiatives to attract new international airlines and grow air service at The New Terminal One. Assist in researching, and qualifying prospective airline and route opportunities. Maintain and track the airline prospect pipeline, business development activities, and stakeholder engagement. Coordinate meetings, site visits, and follow-up with airline partners and industry stakeholders. Assist in preparing airline presentations, pitch books, commercial proposals, business cases, and other marketing materials tailored to prospective and existing airline partners. Research and compile airline background information, market intelligence, and route analyses to support business development meetings and strategic discussions. Support the planning and execution of conferences, trade shows, and industry events. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, consultants, and other industry stakeholders. Market Research & Strategic Analysis You will support the analysis that informs air service development strategy. Research airline networks, fleet developments, market trends, and competitive airports and terminals. Analyse passenger demand, traffic data, airline schedules, and route performance. Monitor industry news and identify opportunities for new international air service. Prepare reports, market summaries, and recommendations for senior leadership. Support forecasting, incentive analyses, and airline business case development. Project Coordination & Stakeholder Support You will help coordinate projects and maintain strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders. Track project schedules, action items, and airline engagement activities. Maintain organized project documentation, meeting notes, contact records, and correspondence. Identify potential issues, risks, or schedule impacts and escalate them to senior team members with recommended solutions. Support cross-functional initiatives that contribute to airline growth and the successful delivery of strategic projects. Reporting & Communications You will prepare clear, professional materials that support executive decision-making and business development activities. Develop presentations, reports, briefing materials, maps, charts, dashboards, and correspondence for executive leadership. Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and follow-up documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Support reporting requirements for the Port Authority and other external partners. Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation related to airline development initiatives. Qualifications: Approximately 3 years of relevant professional experience in aviation, airline planning, airport management, business development, consulting, transportation, market analysis, or a related field. Experience working with data, conducting analysis, and developing insights using Microsoft Excel. Experience with aviation industry data sources is a plus. Experience preparing presentations, conducting market research, and supporting business development initiatives is an asset. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify strategic opportunities. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong organizational and project coordination abilities with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Confidence interacting with internal and external stakeholders in a professional environment. Ability to work collaboratively Entrepreneurial spirit with strong initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. Passion for aviation, airline strategy, and business development. This role may require occasional travel Where will you work : This role will be onsite and is currently located in Building 111 at JFK Airport. Certain duties will require you to access our construction site, and you will be required to strictly adhere to all company and site-specific safety guidelines. This is a local hire position. The company does not offer relocation packages or reimbursement for moving expenses. As NTO progresses towards its operational phase, your role may transition to the terminal, where you will be directly involved in the day-to-day activities of this state-of-the-art international terminal. This role requires a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, and CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) seal, which will be obtained and maintained throughout employment. Successful candidates will be subject to a background check and other security clearance procedures mandated by the TSA (Transportation Security Administration, CBP and PANYNJ (Port Authority of New York and New Jersey). Candidates who cannot obtain and maintain this credential will not be considered for employment.
