Salary offers will be made within the posted range. Placement within the range will be determined based on your similar work experience. The Port considers work experience to be similar if the scope and level of responsibility of your prior positions match the job being offered. Some of what you'll be doing: As the Airport Dining and Retail Program Coordinator, you will coordinate various programs and contribute to the economic vitality and sales growth of the Airport Dining and Retail (ADR) program. You will ensure high quality performance by concessionaires and provide guidance for improvement of tenants with a strong focus on customer experience. You will be a subject matter expert for various programs within ADR and coordinate across internal departments, providing feedback to improve business performance and customer experience. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and determine optimal customer experience within the ADR program. You will assist the Manager, Business Development, and Operations in strategy development to help maintain a strong customer focus throughout all department programming. You will contribute to training content and facilitate training for tenant focused programs. You will collaborate and assist in implementing policy and procedural changes as required. You will participate in assigned industry groups/committees or with specific entities such as other airports or government agencies as a representative of the Port. You will assist in overseeing external vendors to ensure contract compliance, quality of service provided, and resolve potential issues. You will support the ADR Program in coordinating the various elements of procurement and contracting processes for events including consulting, advertising and goods & service contracts. You will plan, organize and oversee events and activations from concept through completion. Who you are: Experienced – You have three (3) years of experience in event planning, logistics coordination, and/or vendor management for events. You have a high level of workplace emotional intelligence and can effectively work within a team environment and independently. Organized – You have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing assignments, track deadlines, and coordinate multiple details in a fast-paced environment. You maintain accurate records, anticipate needs, and consistently follow through to ensure programs, events, and projects are completed successfully. What else you need to know : Work Schedule – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work during emergencies and on-call to respond during off shift hours. Work Environment - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management’s discretion. Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State. Overtime Eligible – You are eligible for overtime pay in this role. Security Requirements – As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
