Founded in 2006, AVS Added Value Solutions is a leading high-tech engineering company with 20 years of experience delivering complex, pivotal projects across Fusion Energy, Scientific Innovation, Particle Accelerators, and Space.
Our track record includes three proprietary LUR-family satellites currently in orbit, which have successfully demonstrated the maturity of our platform architecture, subsystems, and LEO operations. Building on this flight heritage, we leverage our modular LUR-100 platform to support demanding institutional missions, including the ESA ARRAKIHS project and the development of the Canary Islands Satellite Constellation (Constelación Canaria).
To drive these ambitious initiatives forward, we are currently scaling our Space Division to advance our SmallSat capabilities.
As an AIT&V Lead, you will act as the technical and operational authority for the AIT&V of our spacecraft missions. You will play a pivotal role in scaling and organizing our AIT department, leading the transition to modern, automated AIV workflows, and spearheading the upgrade of our cleanroom infrastructure to accommodate a larger class of SmallSat missions. You will act as the programmatic conscience for the AIV team, ensuring we deliver high-reliability missions while defining the future of our integration capabilities.
● Lead, mentor, and manage the AIV engineering and technician team, including resource allocation, shift planning, and Test Shift Resource Planning.
● Drive the digital transformation of AIT processes, implementing modern automation tools and data-driven verification workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
● Drive the overall AIV strategy, test planning, and sequence optimization, including the physical execution of subsystem and spacecraft-level integration and industrialization process optimization.
● Represent AIT in formal customer reviews (e.g., CDR, QR, FAR) and lead Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRB), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and Test Review Boards (TRB).
● Own the Verification Control Document (VCD) closure process across all verification methods (Test, Analysis, Review of Design, Inspection) and oversee the preparation of End Item Data Packages (EIDP).
● Coordinate major environmental test campaigns (TVAC, Vibration, EMC) and manage facility interfaces, including launch campaign support.
● Oversee the design and implementation of specialized Ground Support Equipment (EGSE, MGSE, OGSE, FGSE) and lead integration troubleshooting, anomaly investigations, and root-cause analysis.
We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and recognize that great talent comes from various paths. If you meet most of the following criteria, we encourage you to apply:
● Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced SME or compact team environment where resourcefulness, pragmatism, and hands-on problem-solving are essential.
● Proven experience in the definition, planning, and execution of AIV activities for spacecraft and payloads, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in spacecraft AIV/AIT.
● Strong familiarity with VCD and Spacecraft Reference Database (SRDB) management; ability to maintain critical documentation, test specifications, and formal reports.
● Extensive experience in cleanroom environments, supporting test facilities (thermal vacuum, vibration, EMC), and executing avionics, AOCS closed-loop, and software validation tests.
● Direct experience supporting the definition, procurement, and validation of Electrical and Mechanical Ground Support Equipment.
● Proven track record in Cleanroom Safety Leadership and managing hazardous operations.
● Advanced communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a strong asset.
● We can hire talent based in either Spain (our primary location) or the UK.
● You will enjoy a flexible hybrid working setup from your local country, collaborating closely with our international teams across borders.
● We support a healthy lifestyle with flexible working hours and opportunities for temporary mobile work abroad
● A welcoming onboarding process designed to set you up for success, including the assignment of a dedicated "buddy" during your first few months.
● If you are interested in this position, please submit your CV to [email protected]
● Work Eligibility: Candidates must hold EU/UK citizenship or a valid full work permit for Spain/UK. We are strictly unable to provide visa sponsorship for these positions, and we can currently only consider applicants with an existing right to work in the country.
● Work Model: Some activities must be carried out on-site at our facilities, while others are location-independent and can be performed effectively in a hybrid or remote setup.
