In addition to our recent growth in Federal Civilian agencies, we are seeking to expand our capabilities in cloud development and footprint in national-security focused agencies within the Department of Defense and U.S. Intelligence Community. Cybermedia Technologies (CTEC) www.ctec-corp.com is a CMMI Level III company that has provided technology and management solutions to commercial and government clients across the USA for over 20 years. We are currently seeking a highly skilled ALC Developer to support and modernize legacy mainframe systems within a federal environment. Overview: This position plays a critical role in maintaining assembler-based applications that underpin essential government operations. The ideal candidate is experienced with IBM Assembler Language Code (ALC), thrives in a Z/OS environment, and is eager to contribute to system modernization initiatives. Roles and responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain IBM Assembler Language Code (ALC) programs on Z/OS mainframes Conduct trial runs, debug programs, and ensure efficient performance Modify existing assembler code to meet new technical or business requirements Work closely with systems analysts and other IT staff to define and resolve issues Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for program logic, workflows, and updates Interface with front-end systems and support modernization efforts (e.g., migration to Java or MongoDB) Ensure compliance with federal standards, data protection laws, and agency-specific security protocols Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field ( or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree ) 4–8 years of experience working with ALC in a mainframe environment Proficient in IBM Job Control Language (JCL), TSO, ISPF, and common debugging tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Clearance: Active IRS MBI(Public trust) required.
