About Policy Research: The Policy Research Vertical at the Climate Collective Foundation is dedicated to advancing climate technology solutions by supporting the transition to an enabling policy framework. It focuses on empowering sub-national level policymakers with data-driven insights through dashboards and case studies of successful implementations, with the goal of showing evidence of the socio-economic contributions of climate tech startups. The vertical aims to strengthen stakeholder engagement, provide training, and foster collaboration with government agencies and industry partners. By establishing strategic partnerships with research institutions and advocacy groups, it enhances support for sub-national initiatives . Position Overview: The Data Analyst and Visualization Specialist at the Climate Collective Foundation will play a crucial role in advancing climate technology solutions by supporting the development and maintaining a comprehensive data dashboard. This position focuses on data-baselining and benchmarking to provide actionable insights for subnational government officials and other stakeholders. Responsibilities: ​ Develop and maintain data dashboards for baselining and highlighting best practices across states and sectors around climate tech policies . Collect, analyze, and visualize data related to green-sectoral and climate tech startup ecosystems. Collaborate with subnational government officials to define key data points and indicators. Perform primary and secondary research to gather necessary data. Create detailed, visually compelling reports and dashboards to communicate key findings to stakeholders. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security. Requirements Skillsets Required: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Strong understanding of database management, data warehousing concepts, statistical analysis, and modeling techniques. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage with external stakeholders. Experience in project management and ability to meet deadlines. Preferred Experience: Experience in conducting primary and secondary research to inform data analysis. Proven experience of at least 3 years with data analysis and visualization tools. Understanding of data governance and security practices. Demonstrated experience of 2 years in developing and managing data dashboards or similar tools. Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies . Previous experience in climate tech, sustainable energy, or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with policy analysis and evaluation frameworks is a plus. Experience working with government agencies or in a policy advisory role is desirable.
