Role Description This is a full-time Android Developer (Kotlin) role focused on building and enhancing Poslik’s restaurant POS ecosystem. In this hybrid position based in El Menzah, team members work primarily on-site while having flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The Android Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain Kotlin-based Android applications that support order management, payment processing, and real-time connectivity with other POS components. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product and UX teams to refine requirements, implementing clean and maintainable code, integrating APIs and hardware interfaces, resolving technical issues, and optimizing app performance and reliability. The role also involves participating in code reviews, contributing to architectural improvements, and helping ensure a secure, stable experience for restaurant, hotel, and café users.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Android development with Kotlin, including Android SDK, Jetpack components, and modern app architecture (MVVM or similar).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs, working with JSON, and handling real-time data or network connectivity within mobile applications.
• Knowledge of POS-related workflows or transactional systems, with a focus on reliability, offline capabilities, and secure data handling.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), code review practices, and collaborative development workflows in agile or lean environments.
• Ability to write clean, testable code, with experience using unit testing and debugging tools to ensure app quality and performance.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across product, design, and operations in a hybrid work setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in hospitality or retail tech is a plus.
• Comfort working in a fast-evolving product environment, with a proactive mindset toward learning new tools, frameworks, and best practices.
