Role Description SMBC is seeking a highly analytical Analyst to support reporting, metrics, and business intelligence activities within Anti-Fraud Operations Governance Team. This role will be responsible for producing and analyzing fraud management reports, operational dashboards, key risk indicators (KRIs), and executive-level metrics used to monitor fraud trends, operational performance, and fraud losses. The Analyst will partner with Fraud Operations, Risk Management, Compliance, Technology, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, identify actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making across the fraud program. Responsibilities Produce and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly fraud operations reports and dashboards. Compile, validate, and analyze fraud metrics, fraud losses, alert volumes, investigation outcomes, productivity statistics, and key risk indicators (KRIs). Develop executive-level reporting packages for senior management, committees, audits, and regulatory examinations. Monitor reporting accuracy and perform data quality reviews to ensure integrity and consistency of management information. Identify trends, anomalies, and emerging fraud risks through data analysis and reporting. Create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using reporting and analytics tools. Support recurring reporting for governance forums, risk committees, and leadership meetings. Partner with Technology and data teams to automate reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency. Assist with regulatory exams, audits, and information requests by gathering, validating, and presenting data. Track operational performance against established service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and departmental objectives. Maintain reporting procedures, methodologies, and documentation. Support ad hoc analysis and special projects related to fraud trends, operational effectiveness, and strategic initiatives. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in reporting, analytics, operations, risk management, fraud operations, or financial services. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret large data sets. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, formulas, and data analysis functions. Experience creating reports, dashboards, and management presentations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, or other reporting and visualization tools. Knowledge of fraud operations, financial crimes, banking operations, or risk management. Experience supporting audits, regulatory exams, or governance reporting. Familiarity with Actimize, Mitek, or other fraud detection platforms.
