API Developer / Implementation Specialist

Role Description The API Developer Implementation Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for designing, developing, and integrating APIs that connect CAD, PLM, AR/VR, and related engineering systems. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing client requirements, implementing custom APIs and automation workflows, integrating data across platforms such as CAD tools, PLM systems, and cloud services, and ensuring performance, reliability, and security in delivered solutions. The specialist will collaborate with technical and training teams to support implementation projects, troubleshoot integration issues, and prepare technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials. This role also involves contributing to best practices, supporting data migration activities, and assisting in the continuous improvement of customization and integration services.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong programming skills in C#, C++, Java, and experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Candidates should possess API development and integration skills, including experience with CAD/PLM customizations (e.g., Creo-ProToolkit, SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit, Plant3D, Catia CAA, UGNX, Windchill, EPDM, Autodesk Vault).
• Candidates should possess skills in AI and data-related technologies such as OpenCV, machine learning, deep learning, and geometry/topology handling (e.g., IFC, STEP, OBJ schema, XBIM).
• Candidates should possess web and immersive technology skills, including JavaScript, Three.js, Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, WebAR frameworks, and platforms such as Mozilla Hubs, A-Frame, Ready Player Me, Vuforia, Spark AR, and decentraland.
• Candidates should possess experience with development and DevOps tools, including IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, Jenkins, SQL databases, and version control and project management tools such as SVN, Jira, and Scrum/Agile methodologies.
