About the Business Application Team We deliver trusted, scalable, secure services and infrastructure to empower Thumbtack employees with the tools they need to get work done. We partner with the business and own our platform of internal tools throughout their lifecycle — intake, prioritization, buy/build, implementation, support, and retirement. About the role As an Application Administrator on the Growth & Activations team at Thumbtack, you'll play a key role in building and evolving AI agents and workflows across our entire internal tool ecosystem. You will be a cross-tool administrator responsible for managing and optimizing a diverse platform that supports our Sales, Commercial Ops, and Partnerships teams. You'll collaborate with other admins, product managers, and operations leaders to execute on a broad range of projects — from backend architecture to optimizing lead routing and campaign targeting through intelligent automation. We're looking for a platform-minded specialist ready to drive measurable impact through thoughtful cross-platform design and process innovation, ensuring our stack of tools works seamlessly as a unified engine for growth. What you’ll do Lead the development, deployment, and management of AI agents and automated workflows across the internal tech stack to support go-to-market teams Optimize cross-platform processes related to lead management, forecasting, and partner enablement, leveraging tools like Salesforce, Genesys, and middleware Administer and support a broad tech stack including Salesforce, Pardot, Workato, Ironclad, and various conversational AI platforms Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design robust integrations and backend systems that power a unified employee experience Design and launch MVPs for new AI-driven tools and automation experiments in a fast-paced environment Drive best practices for data governance and documentation across all managed platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability In order to be successful, you must bring 3–5 years of experience in cross-tool administration or platform operations, with a strong focus on building automated workflows Proven experience developing or managing AI agents, bots, or advanced LLM-based integrations within a business context A deep engineering and platform mindset, with proficiency in APIs, webhooks, and middleware tools (e.g., Workato) Experience administering Salesforce as part of a broader ecosystem; Salesforce certification is a plus but not the primary focus Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions across multiple platforms Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders Demonstrated curiosity and a hands-on approach to AI, with a track record of proactively identifying opportunities to integrate AI tools into workflows to solve business problems, rather than just waiting for direction. Expected salary ranges For candidates living in Ontario / British Columbia, the expected salary range for the role is currently $84,200 - $108,900.
