I’m Irmantas Petrauskas, leading the Service Order Management and Activation team, which focuses on building next-generation service orchestration across Telia’s footprint. Right now, we’re looking for a passionate and visionary Application Architect to join our journey, with a focus on Service Order Management (SOM). This role is key to designing the systems that power seamless service delivery across mobile, fixed, and converged networks. Whether you're based in the Nordics, the Baltics, or beyond, if you have a deep understanding of telecommunications services and OSS applications, along with a passion for architecture, we want to hear from you. What you’ll do You will be responsible for shaping the application architecture for Service Order Management, ensuring consistent design and effective collaboration across teams, domains, and vendors. Define and maintain the application and service architecture for Service Order Management. Lead solution design across initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and TM Forum standards. Analyze requirements for new capabilities and create high- and low-level design documentation. Apply security-by-design principles and ensure compliance with architectural governance. Collaborate with BSS, NSO, Inventory, SIM management, and external vendors to ensure quality and performance across the SOM ecosystem. What will help you thrive in this role: You are a forward-thinking and collaborative problem solver who is comfortable working across technical domains, teams, and vendors. You understand how architecture decisions influence service delivery and customer experience, and you can balance the bigger picture with attention to technical detail. Experience in OSS architecture, particularly Service Order Management, service orchestration, Inventory, or SIM/eSIM lifecycle management. Understanding of catalog-driven orchestration and how SOM integrates with other BSS and OSS domains. Experience with requirements analysis and high- and low-level solution design. Knowledge of TM Forum standards and Open APIs. Knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud-native platforms, and automation. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international agile environment. It is an advantage if you also have knowledge of: Leading architecture work across complex transformation initiatives. SAFe or other agile ways of working. Working with major telecommunications technology vendors.
