About the role
We are seeking an Application Developer to join Maurice Blackburn on a
6-month contract
. In this role, you'll play an important part in designing, building and supporting applications that help our people deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. Working within our Digital & Technology team, you'll collaborate with a range of stakeholders to develop high-quality software solutions, enhance existing applications and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and deploy software solutions that meet business requirements and development standards.
Analyse technical and business requirements to deliver effective, scalable and maintainable solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand needs and provide expert technical input.
Support and maintain existing applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Produce and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and application support.
Participate in code reviews, testing activities and deployment processes.
Identify opportunities to improve applications, processes and development practices.
Contribute innovative thinking and problem-solving skills to complex development challenges.
What you'll bring
Proven experience developing applications using C#, .NET/.NET Core and modern software development practices.
Experience working with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Application Insights and Microsoft Entra ID.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design and data integration principles.
Experience developing modern web applications using technologies such as Blazor, Bootstrap and Syncfusion.
Solid understanding of REST APIs, integrations, OAuth, JWT and authentication frameworks.
Experience using GitHub, pull requests, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of testing and quality practices, including unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Understanding of modern software architecture principles, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), secure coding practices and software design patterns.
Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Postman and other contemporary development environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset and a passion for building high-quality solutions that deliver real business value.
