Application Manager (Finance team in Rainbow)

To reinforce our Finance Business team within Rainbow, we are looking for an Application Manager.

As an Application Manager, you would have the following responsibilities:

• Managing the quarterly Securities Holdings Statistics (SHS) process. This is a data set (not a report) containing the group-wide inventory of bonds and listed stocks/funds that must be delivered to the European Central Bank (ECB). A large number of checks and validations are part of the process, making automation and tooling important for success.
• Ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of the SHS output, in close cooperation with finance colleagues from both Local Finance teams across KBC subsidiaries and Group Finance.
• Performing the necessary checks and validations to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyzing issues in previous runs in order to improve or fine-tune the process by the next run.
• Participating in the analysis of new regulatory requirements and their impact, and over time taking the lead in their implementation, from drafting requirements and validating the solution delivered by the responsible teams to releasing the code to the production environment.
• Ensuring smooth cooperation between business and ICT.
• Working in line with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver the highest business value for our clients.

Key competencies that will help you succeed:

• Analytical mindset and logical thinking, with the ability to complete tasks with a high level of precision, even under time pressure.
• Ability to execute tasks on specific working days according to an available runbook, with the flexibility to respond to issues and ensure legal deadlines are met. Willingness to work during quarterly closing periods following a specific calendar.
• Ability to work constructively and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups. Most of your contacts will be remote, your team is spread over different locations.
• Willingness to learn about finance business processes, IT processes, and applications within KBC.
• Previous knowledge of such processes within the financial sector or KBC would be beneficial.
• Experience in financial analysis, controlling, securities, or data modeling
• Fluency in English
• Hands-on experience with Excel and SQL
• Knowledge of WKFS is a plus.
