Application Packaging Engineer (App Volumes)

Application Packaging Engineer 100% Remote MUST WORK ON DIRECT W2 (no C2C) TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Application Packaging Engineer to support a large Omnissa Horizon environment. This individual will be responsible for preparing, packaging, testing, and deploying enterprise applications using App Volumes while ensuring compatibility within a VDI environment. Responsibilities Package and deploy applications using Omnissa/VMware App Volumes. Analyze application requirements, dependencies, registry settings, and installation processes. Test and validate applications before production deployment. Troubleshoot packaging, compatibility, and deployment issues. Work with application owners to gather requirements and deployment needs. Support application upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management. Create and maintain packaging documentation and standards. Required Skills 5+ years of Application Packaging experience. Strong experience with App Volumes. Experience supporting Omnissa/VMware Horizon environments. Deep understanding of Windows OS, MSI packaging, registry, and file system structures. PowerShell scripting experience. Experience troubleshooting application deployment issues. Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
