Application System Administrator

Based in Milan but supporting our SaaS division in Germany, we are looking for a full-time employee in the Applications Operations team to start as soon as possible. Job descripiton: You will be responsible for our SaaS OBS environments and the operation of various interfaces to and from OBS (Objectway Banking Suite) You monitor and control the daily and end-of-day processing You provide our software for our customers and support them with our releases You will work closely with the core banking development team, project management and client support teams You will help to ensure compliance with SLAs, internal and customer specifications and legal requirements You coordinate tests and in some cases carry them out yourself Required Skills: Completed studies or equivalent practical IT/banking training Solid knowledge of the administration of Linux operating systems and Windows server Solid knowledge in SQL (ANSI) and experience with ORACLE DB-administration Experience in dealing with data centres (e.g. setting up and operating infrastructures) Solid knowledge in Shell-scripting and experience in one or more programming languages (Python, Perl, C, C++ or Java) Experience in IT support, software packaging and software delivery systems Understanding and knowledge of automation, continuous integration and build tools Experience with service desk tools such as Jira, Confluence etc Excellent problem solving skills and customer orientated approach to work Strong team and communication skills and a structured way of working Ability to collaborate with cross-site, functional teams Organisational skills and the ability to work under time pressure Agile mindset and experience with agile methods such as Jira and Confluence to support daily work Experience in project work Confident handling of Microsoft Office products Fluent English and good German language skills are also desirable Willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours or on weekends to complete special tasks Contract & Compensation: Ticket restaurant and company welfare. This compensation complies with the pay transparency requirements set out in EU Directive 2023/970.
