Apply Job Type Full-time Description Applications Engineer – Electrical Reliability Solutions Remote | Houston, Texas region Preferred Salary: $120,000–$160,000, based on education and experience Travel: Approximately 10% Why This Role You’ll help customers make critical electrical systems safer, more reliable, and easier to maintain. As an Applications Engineer – Electrical Reliability Solutions, you’ll review customer electrical systems, identify reliability risks, and design practical monitoring solutions for power distribution equipment. You’ll work directly with customers, OEMs, channel partners, and Grace’s commercial team to turn single-line diagrams, equipment drawings, and application requirements into complete technical solutions. You’ll also bring customer and field feedback directly to Grace’s engineering and product teams, helping shape future electrical reliability solutions. About Grace You’ll join Grace Technologies, a global leader in electrical safety and predictive maintenance. We pioneered Permanent Electrical Safety Devices (PESDs) and created GracePort®, the industry-standard panel interface connection that helps technicians work more safely without opening energized electrical enclosures. Our technologies also include GraceSense™ predictive maintenance solutions and Proxxi wearable safety technology, protecting people and equipment in more than 60 countries. What You’ll Do · Review electrical single-line diagrams, equipment drawings, specifications, and customer documentation. · Evaluate switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, panelboards, transformers, and related power distribution equipment. · Identify where continuous temperature monitoring (CTM) and other reliability solutions will provide the greatest value. · Determine monitoring points, sensors, network components, and hardware required for each application. · Develop marked-up SLDs, system layouts, bills of material, technical recommendations, and customer quotations. · Work directly with customers, OEMs, distributors, engineering firms, and Grace sales professionals to solve application challenges. · Provide technical guidance on product selection, system architecture, installation, commissioning, and application suitability. · Support new applications, pilot projects, and repeatable solution designs. · Bring customer feedback to Grace’s engineering and product teams to improve existing and future solutions. What You Bring · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. · 5+ years of directly applicable experience in electrical engineering, applications engineering, power distribution, electrical equipment, or electrical reliability. · Strong ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and equipment drawings. · Working knowledge of low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems. · Understanding of breakers, bus systems, conductors, cable terminations, electrical connections, and common failure points. · Experience translating technical requirements into system designs, equipment selections, and BOMs. · Strong technical, analytical, and customer communication skills. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is helpful: · Switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, or other electrical distribution equipment. · Continuous temperature monitoring, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, or industrial sensing. · Electrical equipment design, field service, commissioning, or maintenance. · Technical proposals, quotations, or customer-facing applications engineering. · Industrial communication systems and protocols. · AutoCAD, electrical design software, or PDF markup tools. · PE licensure is a plus, but not required.
