About the Company
Our client is a growing Christmas lighting and permanent lighting company expanding its commercial lighting division. The business provides lighting solutions to commercial customers and is looking to add a dedicated sales development professional to help drive new business.
This is a high-volume outbound sales role focused on identifying prospective commercial customers, reaching decision-makers, and generating qualified sales opportunities for the founder.
You’ll play an important role in building the top of the sales pipeline. Your primary goal will be to research prospects, make outbound calls, start meaningful conversations, and book qualified appointments for leadership to meet with potential customers and close deals.
Responsibilities
- Prospect Research: Research commercial businesses and identify relevant decision-makers and potential sales opportunities.
- Cold Outreach & Lead Generation: Conduct high-volume outbound calls and outreach to prospective commercial clients.
- Multi-Channel Communication: Manage prospect communications through outbound and inbound phone calls, email, and text.
- Appointment Setting: Qualify prospects and schedule qualified sales appointments for leadership.
- CRM & Pipeline Management: Use the company's custom CRM to prospect, log interactions, update lead information, and track opportunities through the pipeline.
- Follow-Up: Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to move qualified opportunities toward an appointment.
- Sales Support: Provide leadership with accurate prospect information and relevant context before scheduled sales meetings.
Commission Structure
Your prospecting efforts are directly tied to your earning potential:
- $25 USD per qualified appointment
- 0.5% commission on closed sales below $50,000
- 1% commission on closed sales above $50,000
This structure rewards both consistent appointment generation and the revenue generated from the opportunities you help create.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience working within the U.S. market.
- Proven success in B2B or B2C outbound sales, preferably in a high-volume prospecting environment.
- Strong hunter mentality, proactive approach, and motivation to create new sales opportunities.
- College degree or higher.
- Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and another language.
- Demonstrated ability in cold calling, prospect research, lead generation, and appointment setting.
- Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with prospective customers and decision-makers.
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively navigate a custom CRM system.
Required Skills
- Outbound Sales: Proven ability to initiate conversations and generate new business through cold outreach.
- Cold Calling: Comfortable making a high volume of calls and handling rejection professionally.
- Lead Research: Ability to find businesses, identify decision-makers, and gather relevant prospect information.
- Appointment Setting: Ability to qualify prospects and secure meetings with the right decision-makers.
- CRM Management: Strong attention to detail when logging calls, updating lead information, and tracking follow-ups.
- Hunter Mentality: Self-motivated, persistent, and focused on creating opportunities rather than waiting for inbound leads.
- Remote Readiness: Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain consistent daily outreach activity.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with sales tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Experience selling commercial property services, field service solutions, or other B2B services.
- Experience prospecting commercial businesses and speaking directly with owners, managers, or other decision-makers.
- Experience working with custom or industry-specific CRM systems.
What Makes This Role Exciting
If you enjoy hunting for opportunities, picking up the phone, and turning cold prospects into real sales conversations, this role gives you a direct opportunity to make an impact.
You’ll work closely with the founder and play a key role in building the commercial sales pipeline. Rather than simply managing existing accounts, you'll be responsible for creating new opportunities from the ground up through research, outreach, qualification, and appointment setting.
With $25 paid for every qualified appointment plus commissions on closed sales, your work directly contributes to your earning potential.
If you're persistent, confident on the phone, comfortable with high-volume outreach, and motivated by seeing your prospecting efforts turn into qualified sales opportunities and revenue, this could be a strong opportunity to grow with a company expanding its commercial business.
