It is not an accounting or corporate finance role. We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Billing Accounts Receivable Representative to join our Revenue Cycle team. Position Summary The Medical Billing Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for managing insurance accounts receivable by reviewing outstanding claims, resolving denials, following up with insurance carriers, posting payments and adjustments, and ensuring timely reimbursement. The ideal candidate has experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-specialty physician practice and is knowledgeable in commercial and government insurance billing, denial management, payment posting, and insurance collections. Experience supporting organizations with multiple providers, specialties, and multi-state payer requirements is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Review and follow up on outstanding insurance claims to maximize reimbursement Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, underpaid, and unpaid claims Contact insurance companies regarding claim status and payment discrepancies Submit appeals and corrected claims as needed Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and remittance advice Accurately post insurance payments, contractual adjustments, and other account transactions Research billing edits and resolve claim issues Maintain detailed documentation of account activity Collaborate with Billing, Coding, Credentialing, and Clinical teams to resolve reimbursement issues Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and company policies Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of medical billing/accounts receivable experience Experience in physician practice or healthcare revenue cycle Experience with insurance claim follow-up and collections Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers Experience managing insurance denials and appeals Payment posting experience Strong understanding of EOBs and remittance advice EMR experience (NextGen preferred) Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to manage a high-volume workload with attention to detail Preferred Multi-specialty medical billing experience Experience supporting large healthcare organizations Knowledge of payer requirements across NY, NJ, CT, PA, and WV Ophthalmology or ambulatory surgery center experience Why Join Spectrum Vision Partners?
