Art Director

The Toubes Agency is looking for a mid-level Art Director (remote, contract-to-hire) to join our award-winning creative team. If you’re a conceptual thinker, a hands-on designer, and someone who loves bringing brands to life through powerful visual storytelling, we’d love to meet you.

As an Art Director here, you’ll partner closely with copywriters, strategists, and account leads to concept and produce integrated creative across digital, social, print, and experiential platforms. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced remote environment and is passionate about translating complex ideas into elegant, effective design.

What You’ll Do:

Create Exceptional Creative

• Design integrated marketing campaigns across digital, web, social, presentations, video, email, print, events, and sales enablement.
• Develop compelling visual storytelling through typography, layout, imagery, illustration, and design systems.
• Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging creative that communicates with impact.
• Ensure every deliverable meets a high standard of creativity, craftsmanship, and brand consistency.

Bring Campaigns to Life

• Execute creative work within established brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and campaign concepts.
• Partner closely with Writers to develop integrated creative where words and visuals work together.
• Design responsive web experiences, landing pages, presentations, and campaign assets that support the customer journey.
• Adapt visual systems across channels while maintaining consistency and flexibility.

Collaborate Across the Agency

• Work closely with Strategy, Account Services, Creative, and Production throughout projects.
• Participate in creative brainstorming and contribute ideas that strengthen campaigns.
• Present creative work internally and to clients, clearly communicating the thinking behind design decisions.
• Collaborate with photographers, illustrators, motion designers, developers, and production partners to ensure exceptional execution.

Elevate the Work

• Maintain high standards for typography, composition, visual hierarchy, and attention to detail.
• Stay current on design trends, emerging technologies, AI-enabled creative tools, and best practices.
• Help evolve creative standards and contribute to a culture of design excellence across the agency.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–8 years of professional design experience, preferably within a marketing, branding, or advertising agency.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design, campaign thinking, and execution across multiple channels.
• Experience designing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, web, social, presentations, video, and print.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, visual storytelling, and brand identity systems.
• Experience designing responsive websites, landing pages, and digital experiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Curious, collaborative, and comfortable learning new industries quickly.
