In this strategic individual contributor role, you will drive growth across the rapidly expanding data center market throughout Asia Pacific by leading complex, multi-portfolio sales pursuits, developing a robust project pipeline, and advancing Emerson's position as a trusted technology and solutions partner for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and cloud data center customers. Working across Emerson's broad portfolio of software, automation, instrumentation, and control valve solutions, you will collaborate closely with country sales organizations, business units, strategic account teams, consultants, EPCs, contractors, and data center developers and operators to identify, qualify, and convert high-value opportunities throughout the region. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Data Center Market Growth Strategy Develop and execute the Asia Pacific data center growth strategy aligned with regional and business unit objectives. Identify high-value market opportunities, emerging trends, investment plans, and customer expansion initiatives across the region. Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the APAC data center ecosystem, including developers, owners, operators, EPCs, consultants, and technology partners. Closely engage with Global Data Center leadership teams to drive initiatives and escalate support required at the right time. Sales Pursuit Leadership Lead strategic sales pursuits for large-scale data center projects across the Emerson portfolio. Coordinate and influence multi-functional pursuit teams spanning Control Systems & Software (CSS), Measurement Solutions (MSOL), and Final Control (FCTL) businesses to develop compelling customer value propositions. Drive opportunity qualification, account planning, stakeholder mapping, and win strategy development. Facilitate executive engagement with strategic customers and partners throughout the sales cycle. Pipeline Development & Management Build, maintain, and expand a qualified pipeline of data center projects across Asia Pacific. Establish project tracking and governance processes to monitor opportunity progression and forecast growth potential. Ensure alignment between regional pipeline development activities and country sales execution plans. Drive specification positioning and early project engagement to maximize Emerson's opportunity footprint. Strategic Customer & Partner Engagement Develop trusted relationships with key data center owners, operators, developers, consultants, engineers, EPC firms, and channel partners. Represent Emerson at industry conferences, customer events, and data center forums across the region. Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships that strengthen Emerson's position within the data center ecosystem. Portfolio Collaboration Collaborate closely with business unit leaders and country organizations to identify cross-selling opportunities across Emerson's portfolio. Support development of integrated solutions that address customers' operational, sustainability, reliability, and digital transformation objectives. Ensure a unified customer engagement approach across all Emerson businesses participating in a pursuit. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning Monitor competitive activities, industry developments, regulatory changes, and technology trends impacting data center investments. Provide regular market intelligence and growth insights to regional and global leadership teams. Support business case development and strategic investment decisions related to the data center vertical. Who You Are: You are a highly strategic commercial leader who excels at influencing without direct authority and thrives in complex, solution-oriented sales environments. You possess strong business acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate large, multi-stakeholder opportunities. You are energized by creating new growth opportunities, driving collaboration across organizations, and delivering measurable business results. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial automation, data center infrastructure, critical facilities, power, process automation, or related industries. Demonstrated success leading complex sales pursuits and developing strategic project pipelines. Experience working with large capital project sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision makers. Strong understanding of data center market dynamics, customer buying processes, and project development lifecycles. Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority. Strong communication, presentation, and executive relationship management skills. Willingness to travel across Asia Pacific as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling to hyperscale cloud providers, colocation providers, or enterprise data center operators. Understanding of operational technologies used within critical infrastructure environments. Experience working across software, automation, instrumentation, and control valve solutions. Knowledge of sustainability, energy optimization, reliability, and digitalization trends within data centers. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
