OVERVIEW Function GIC Sales & Commercial Capabilities team partners with our global General Mills sales teams in providing them with analytical horsepower and enable business continuity so they can focus on core activities – Selling, driving distribution gains and optimizing merchandising plans to deliver sales volume targets. We enable customer pricing & promotion strategies across the global markets through our focused capabilities of Sales Execution, Trade & Strategic Revenue Management and Category Management. Teams within function are aligned to the above focused capabilities for each of our markets and each team member specializes in domains of Advanced Analytics, Visual Insights & Planogramming. Role As an Assistant Manager on the Sales & Commercial Capabilities team, you will lead a high-performing team that partners with Sales & Trade Marketing teams across the US markets to drive growth and advance capabilities. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, leverage proof of concepts, drive standardization, and implement innovative solutions that accelerate growth and strengthen commercial capabilities. The role will manage and mentor team members to deliver sophisticated reporting, tool development, and compelling presentations that showcase actionable insights and business acumen. Success in this role demands a strategic mindset, thought leadership, and exceptional stakeholder management to influence cross-functional teams. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Advance Sales Capabilities Drive strong engagement with International regional sales teams through effective stakeholder management Promote and cross-sell capabilities at organizational forums Develop new solutions to support sales team strategies Develop insightful reports and tools, and performance narratives that leverage data while accounting for market nuances and strategic priorities. Act as SME to close market knowledge gaps and enable collaboration-driven success Executional Excellence Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery across all workstreams Establish robust process planning and tracking mechanisms for seamless execution Champion standardization across processes, markets, and verticals to enhance consistency Optimize resource allocation, utilization, and capacity planning for maximum efficiency Maintain 100% compliance with Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and ensure crisis readiness Drive effective stakeholder engagement to achieve superior customer satisfaction Align with senior leadership to manage annual performance cycles and support employee career development. Fund our Future and Inculcate Continuous Improvement Mindset Drive Continuous Improvement through identify and implement automation, standardization, and cost-saving initiatives to enhance efficiency Influence & collaborate to build credibility as an SME, engage stakeholders, and foster cross-functional partnerships to deliver holistic solutions Mentor team members to become SMEs, design training programs, and develop expertise to strengthen functional and organizational capabilities Advance process and capability maturity through frameworks like PEM and LDT MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Min. years of related experience required: 4-6 years of experience in CPG (or related) industry with People and Career Management responsibilities; 2 years of People Management Preferred years of related experience:5-8 years of Business Reporting, Sales & Trade Analytics & Visualization experience in CPG industry (or related) with People and Career Management responsibilities; 2 years of People Management Education – Full time Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered) Strong command over oral and written English Multitasking ability - work on a host of tools/databases and software/platforms effectively to manifest superior results.
